About Hannah
I started practicing yoga over 15 years ago after taking a class at my local leisure centre. I begin practicing regularly after I noticed how beneficial it was to my wellbeing.
After completing a BSc Hons in Psychology I decided to train with the British school of Yoga in 2013 so that I could teach full time. I then completed further training with Wendy Haring and Elaine Fletcher with the British Wheel of Yoga. I am currently registered with the Independent Yoga Network as a 500hrs Yoga Teacher. Having previously lived and taught in South Wales, I worked alongside Communities first to provide yoga to local groups such as Mental Health Matters Wales, Special Families- Bridgend, The W.I amongst others. I have also worked alongisde local businesses providing yoga classes for their employees as well as private classes and one to ones. Now currently living in Llandrindod Wells, Powys I offer local drop in classes and I am able to offer one to one sessions. During my classes you can expect a hatha yoga flow, suitable for all ages and abilities. Classes are body positive, inclusive of all and I encourage all students to practice listening to their own bodies no matter what size/shape or flexibility level. All are welcome and I look forward to seeing you on your mats!! ***Coronavirus Update*** I am starting back teaching face to face from the 3rd of November (class details below) Please note that in order to comply with current government guidelines the below must be followed:
I am really looking forward to getting back to in person teaching, I know that as long as we follow the guidelines above we can do so in a safe manner. Please do contact me if you have any questions or worries and I will do my best to help. Looking forward to seeing you on your mats! Hannah x |
What do I need to wear?
Something that you are comfortable in, not too tight or restrictive so that you can move easily. Leggings/shorts/jogging bottoms and a t-shirt tend to be fine. Yoga is practiced barefoot. I have an injury/illness, can I attend? Please check with your GP/ physiotherapist before attending a class that it is suitable for you to do so. Having said that, there are many illnesses, physical/mental health that yoga has been found to be beneficial for. |
I am not flexible at all, can I attend?
Yes of course! flexibility comes with regular practice and is not a requirement to start. I am pregnant can I attend? The classes that I teach are not tailored for pregnancy. It can also be very benefical to go to a class specifically for pregnancy as you will likely get more out of it! |
